The feeding program in schools is in accordance to the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 2, which states, End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture. The program under SOMIRENEC in collaboration with New Life for Children has greatly improved on the nutrition of school going children at St. Stephen preparatory, Havard and St. Michael Nursery school in the informal settlements of kibera and kawangware respectively.
