In one of our projects, Drought resilience through sustainable livelihoods in West Pokot County, we held a radio talk show on North Rift Radio Kenya #Westpokotcounty. The talk show focused on enlightening the community on management of natural resources for the common good.
The talk discussed the roles of peace committees, pasture/grazing committees, government and the Non- State Actors that exist both in Turkana, Elgeyo Marakwet and West Pokot. This was amid climate change issues affecting our communities.
The guests were Wycliffe Simiyu, SOMIRENEC’s Peace Project Coordinator, Chief Joseph Ayomo of Sekerrot division and Peter Sikamoi, one of the peace champions in West Pokot County.
