Boma Peace forums are community led approaches in building a cohesive and integrated society where people trust and care for each other in order to attain sustainable peace.
on 7th September 2022, SOMIRENEC under #USTAHIMILIVU project funded by European Union in Kenya held a boma peace meeting at Arpollo in Cheptulel location, Nyorpotwo sub location.
Community members, while appreciating the current wave of peace, pointed out issues that could draw them back to the previous conflicts that had led to deaths and loss of huge numbers of livestock . They urged each other to be ambassadors of peace. The meeting was attended by the area Assistant County Commissioner for Chesegon division, Area chiefs and the Police.
