Under the Support to Resilience for Sustainable Livelihoods #USTAHIMILIVU project in #westpokotcounty, #kenya which is funded by the European Union in Kenya, SOMIRENEC held a community peace dialogue at Amolem area.
The dialogue aimed at calming down tension that had been caused by an incident where cattle which were believed to be from West Pokot county were shot dead in Turkana County.
The community members were urged to maintain calmness as the government find the root causes of the conflict.
USTAHIMILIVU is a four year project and is implemented in a consortium with Northern Rangelands Trust, E4Impact Foundation, Amref Health Africa and CEFA – Kenya & Somalia
