Community members under Ustahimilivu project in West Pokot County were engaged in a community peace dialogue at Kasei division in Pokot North Sub-County. The dialogue brought together members of the community comprising of Nyumba kumi, village elders, police, religious leaders, women and youths and was moderated by the Assistant County Commissioner from Kasei division.
The forum aimed at discussing conflict sensitivity approach in all aspects of development, with special focus on understanding conflicts and analyzing their root causes. The participants were also equipped with knowledge on early warning and response mechanisms as well as community based policing structures.
