SOMIRENEC in partnership with the office of the Assistant County Commissioner (ACC), Officer Commanding Station (OCS) and Chiefs in Burat Ward, held a consultative peace and security meeting in Burat Ward #IsioloCounty, #kenya.
The aim of the meeting was to deliberate on how to mitigate on emerging conflicts over grazing areas, solve the stalemate of sand harvesting and enhance peace and security through Nyumba Kumi initiative.
Community Representatives agreed to report insecurity issues and share information in order to manage the inter community conflicts.
