SOMIRENEC in partnership with the Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government held an inter-ethnic community peace dialogue that brought together representatives from Borana, Somali and Meru communities. The dialogue was held at Kinna North in Garbatula Sub-County. The issues discussed included cattle rustling and domestic violence. Members also agreed to enhance community policing and work in partnership with Security personnel towards sustainable peace.
Drought Resilience in Isiolo County (DRIC) is a 4 year project funded by the European Union in Kenya and aims to contribute towards increased resilience of communities to drought and other effects of climate change in Isiolo County.
