Launching of the Drought Resilience project in Isiolo County (DRIC)
project graced by the Deputy Head of delegation of the European Union, Ambassador Katrin Hagemann, Cabinet Secretary of the Ministry of Devolution and ASALs, Hon. Eugene Wamalwa, Governor of Isiolo County, Hon. Mohammed kuti, Isiolo County Commissioner, Harman Shambi and Director of the National Distaster management Authority (NDMA).

DRIC is a project funded by the European Union and aims at enhancing food and nutritional security of vulnerable households, especially marginalized women and children in order to generate sustainable livelihoods and protect productive assets in Isiolo County, the project is in collaboration with other consortium partners, which include; VSF-Suisse/Kenya (lead partner) which implements activities on advocacy, livestock and milk value chains as well as fodder/rangelands management, SOMIRENEC which implements on peace building and conflict management activities, E4Impact Foundation focuses on strengthening the resilience of pastoralist and agro-pastoralist communities through entrepreneurship and market linkages. We World Onlus is implementing nutrition-sensitive agriculture, water for domestic and productive use, advocacy, policy-making on nutrition and food security and sustainable livelihoods and Comitato Collaborazione Medica (CCM) focuses on health-related activities.
