On 26th- 27th October 2022, SOMIRENEC conducted a training for reformed warriors at Sigor division, West Pokot County. The aim of the training was to review the role of reformed warriors in peace building for sustainable development. As a way to motivated them from engaging in conflicts and raids in the community, the reformed warriors were also commissioned as ambassadors of peace. The training was opened by the Assistant County Commissioner, Sigor division, who urged the reformed warriors to support security teams in ensuring that the community is safe and to embrace alternative sources of livelihoods.
