Somirenec collaboration with the Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government through PEACE COP KENYA and Reinvent Programme- Usalama, Ubunifu, Uthabiti conducted a one week integrated training for Peace monitors and community representatives in Nakuru county on the 28th February-4th March 2022.
The peace monitors were drawn from the Critical Infrastructure Police Unit (CIPU), Rapid Deployment Unit (RDU), Anti-Stock Theft Unit (ASTU) and Border Patrol Unit (BPU) who are stationed in West pokot, Baringo, Elgeyo Marakwet, Uasin Gishu, Nakuru and Turkana Counties.The training aimed at equipping the peace monitors and community representatives with knowledge and skills on Peace building and Conflict management with more focus on early warning signs, conflict sensitivity and trauma healing and management.
