Local fundraising is important because it contributes to the financial sustainability of an organization. Social Ministry Research Network Centre (SOMIRENEC) staffs through #KCDF and Change the Game Academy program were trained on #localfundraising, #LFR. This was an eye opener on the need to diversify fundraising strategies and sources in our organization.
We were delighted to host Madam Stella Chege, as our Coach, who will journey with us as we undertake local fundraising assignment. During our meeting, we were able to identify the project we would want to fundraise for. We also made a profile of our potential donors. We developed a plan on when we will be meeting with the Coach and what is expected of our organizations during the planned meetings.
