Location of intervention: Nairobi and Kajiado counties
The mentorship program focuses on enhancing student’s academic performances and preparing them for the next level of schooling and the outside world. The program enables the students to develop essential life skills, set goals and build confidence, hence contributing to their success in classroom and outside school. SOMIRENEC’s program targets school going children in primary school, junior secondary school, senior secondary school, college students and children living in charitable childcare institutions (CCI). The program seeks to address current issues such as relationships, behavior change, mental health and well-being and self-esteem which may affect a child’s holistic growth negatively if not addressed.
